The story

Three days before the wedding, Emily discovers Charles moved their ceremony from her grandmother's courtyard to a Spanish castle chosen by his childhood sweetheart. He laughs that Emily would crawl anywhere to marry him. So the castle wedding goes on without its bride, while Emily exchanges rings at the place he mocked, with a man Charles never saw coming.
